Clarion has launched a new and India’s first Android Based Stereo System Named TheAX1. This system is compatible with all available smart-phones in India and gives you access to web browsing, music streaming, navigation and making hands free call operations just by connecting through Wi-Fi connectivity. Clarion ax1 is the Internet ready device which is optimized with Android Operating System & is Compatible with all Smartphones. Running of android 2.3.7 gingerbread with automotive customization, the clarion AX1 car Stereo is equipped with 6.5-inch LCD capacitive display together with an arm Cortex-A8 Processor and 1GB of RAM.Clarion’s technology partner, Infogo, also offers you a wide range of music collections from world renowned labels with all of them being fully licensed.

Google And A Number Of Automakers ( just like Honda, Audi, Hyundai, and chipmaker NVidia) are planning to bring android to cars. The open automotive alliance has already been in touch with the National Highways Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
